Background

The Akko Educators’ Kibbutz is a group that lives a communal lifestyle that includes democratic decision-making, cooperative economics, and educational collaboration. As part of a US investor search, the group wanted to create graphic language and distinctive look that would uniquely convey its vision.

Process

In the process of working with the group management, we did a test with similar groups in the American audience. We decided to focus on refined colors - using the color blue that represents Israel, and a combination with the brown color that represents the earth. Focusing on clean and graphic design language.

The logo creation combines the heart and the sparrow: the heart represents the communal love that the group wanted to emphasize, and the sparrow represents the freedom and the name of the group.

Outcome

Dror Israel's graphic language has greatly strengthened its cohesive visibility, and has managed to create the impression of a society with important values such as community, love, cooperation and the preservation of nature and the environment. The group was able to raise a serious amount of money which allowed it to build its community center in Akko.
